He did college research at Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a federal grant to study the rotation of carbon to phosphorus bonds under nuclear magnetic resonance and at Boston University with a cancer research grant studying hematology at Boston University.

Georgetown University School of Dentistry:
Dr. Chalifoux graduated from Georgetown in 1977 and received a DDS degree. He attended dental school on an Army Health Scholarship Program sponsored by the United State Congress. His activities included sailing club, scuba diving, lifeguard school and karate.
